How do we communicate compassionately in the midst of life?
The dilemma: This can be such a challenge when dealing with demanding work schedules, trying to connect with a partner, juggling children's commitments and needs, tending to one's wider family or community or negotiating illness. It can be so easy to resort to judgement, blame, resentment and distancing.
What's possible: So, how do we establish a safe space and deeper connection that enables our relationships, families and communities to flourish? Communicating with compassion while juggling life is a mindset that can be embraced and a skill set that can be learned. We have seen lives transformed as people have developed these skills.
Aware with Words training programs have a focus on compassionate communication and draw on the work of Marshall B. Rosenberg and the Center for Nonviolent Communication and Conversational Intelligence (C-IQ). They support you to become aware of what’s getting in the way of caring for yourself and creating satisfying relationships in all areas of your life. Holding a safe, respectful and playful space we support your learning with skills practice that will get you moving to greater resilience, self care and compassion, while negotiating day-to-day life.
Training options: Our programs include half day introductory training programs: From Self Care to Resilience, and Empathic Listening and Resilience. We also offer a Foundation program that provides opportunity to learn and practice key skills for effective connection. As a follow up to training we offer practice groups. We also offer individual or couple mentoring.
Aware with Words Communication Training programs are offered in organisations and in the wider community.
