How do we communicate compassionately and get work done?
The dilemma: This is a common question in organisations. We might think: "I don't have time for a talk fest", "It's easier to just demand they do it in the timeframe", "Avoid the 'soft stuff'", or "I'll keep my mouth shut and do what I'm told". Then we wonder why we get resistance, why people choose to leave parts of themselves at the gate, why there's little innovation or why there's so much illness and stress leave.
What's possible: So, how do we establish enough connection with our work colleagues to foster a safe and respectful space where people can thrive and work gets done - in the agreed timeframes? Communicating with nimble compassion is a mindset that can be embraced and a skill set that can be learned. We have seen lives transformed as people have developed these skills.
Aware with Words in Conversation training programs start with your strengths, deepening your awareness of what both supports and hinders your connection and effective collaboration with others at work. Holding a safe, respectful and playful space, we support your learning with skills practice that will get you moving to greater resilience, self care and empathy while getting work done. The programs are based on the work of Marshall B. Rosenberg and the Center for Nonviolent Communication, and C-IQ (Conversational Intelligence).
Training options: Our programs include half day introductory training programs: From Self Care to Resilience, and Empathic Listening and Resilience. We also offer a Foundation program that provides opportunity to learn and practice all the key skills for effective connection. Our training programs are tailored in partnership with you to meet your organisation's particular needs. As a follow up to training we offer practice groups and mentoring.
Aware with Words Communication Training programs are offered in organisations and in the wider community.
